I’m very excited to share the recipe for this weeks Sunday Chef because it is delicious and oh-so simple! It takes less than 10 Applesauce Ingredientsminutes to whip up! I found the recipe on Earth Mother In The Raw and had everything but the apples, which were luckily still available at the orchard/farm market near my house.

I cut the recipe in half for my first try so I used only 3 Jonagold apples, the juice from 1/2 lemon, 4 pitted dates, and  1/4 tsp cinnamon. I peeled and cored the apples into small enough pieces to go into my food processor. I then added all of the ingredients in the processor and let it run for a few minutes, stopping it only occasionally to stir.

I was pleasantly surprised when I did my first taste-test and then Ryan even requested a bowl. There was plenty still left to refrigerate for later after we both had our share. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did if you give it a try!
