Veggie-Licious Burgers

Veggie-Licious Burgers

Whenever I’m in need of a extra quick and easy dinner, I run to the freezer for what I’ve found to be the most delicious veggie burger. The type is “Amy’s California Veggie Burger” and I get four in a pack for $5.49 at my local health store. Now I’m not a vegetarian, but I fell in love the idea of a burger made mostly of organic mushrooms, probably my favorite vegetable!

The burgers do not taste like a regular beef burger, they are lighter and have a unique, but tasty flavor. The main ingredients are organic mushrooms, organic onions, organic bulgur wheat, organic celery, organic carrots, and you can find the rest of the list here. The best part of the burger is that it has a nice texture and is not “stringy” as some soy-based veggie burgers I have tried.

I actually don’t even eat these veggie burgers on a bun- just with a side of ketchup (preferably organic agave ketchup– yum!). I just pop the burger frozen into the toaster oven for about 20 minutes (I don’t even bother to let it preheat, just pop it in right away) while I prepare a sidedish.

Hopefully, if you try these burgers out you enjoy them as much as I do! Please feel free to share any other veggie burgers that you have tried and found to be delicious!
