Fresh Stevia Lemonade

Fresh Stevia Lemonade

LemonSince we’re all going to need ways to cool off this summer, I’ve found an easy (and healthy!) recipe for fresh lemonade. You only need the few ingredients listed below:

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from approximately 6 lemons)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon stevia extract (white powder) or 2 TBSP powder stevia leaf

It works best to put all of the above into a shaker container and shake it up well (this is very important if you are using the white powder stevia). Then pour the mixture into a 2 quart pitcher and fill it up the rest of the way with ice and cold water.

Remember as you are making this that you can adjust it to your taste (I prefer my lemonade more tart, but you can also add a little extra stevia if you like yours sweeter). Also, I only noticed a slight aftertaste from the stevia, but if it bothers you, you might want to try making the lemonade with liquid stevia (as I’ve read in other online reviews that this can help reduce an aftertaste).

I found that fresh stevia lemonade is a deliciously refreshing drink and hope that you enjoy it this summer!
