If you need bags that can also hold fruit and other soft items that might squish into a liquid, try the snack bags from Etsy as some are actually waterproof. Both snack bag brands are said to be easy to open and perfect for kids.
Both the Mercantile and Etsy snack bags are extremely easy to clean and care for. Mercantile suggests either machine washing and drying them or washing them right along with your dinner dishes and hanging them out to dry overnight! Each Etsy vendor should state the best cleaning method for their snack bags.
Think about if you pack a lunch using two snack bags everyday for 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year- that’s 520 bags a year from one person alone! Switching to cloth snack bags is a fun and simple way to “go green” and avoid the otherwise never-ending purchases and disposal of plastic sandwich bags.

Plus, when you consider that plastic is a xenoestrogen (meaning, it actually increases estrogenic activity in your body, whether you are male or female), this solution looks even better. Great find!
